So, Maggie turned 20. She has always had grand plans and is well on her way to a very successful future. Those plans also included a "trunk monkey" along the way to do her bidding, so behold the "Trunk Monkey" birthday card! Isn't this little guy cute...seems a shame to lock him away in a trunk.
Happy Birthday Mags!

Christmas Thank You's 2019
Pretty, but quick post of Christmas thank you notes to send to special family and friends for a wonderful holiday season. This time I took a picture!!!
New Year's Resolution!
I am making a New Year's Resolution, one that a card maker that's been making cards for years should follow, but alas I have not.
Allow time to take pictures of finished cards! Unfortunately I still have card pictures to post that didn't have photo's taken, my bad!

Happy Birthday Aaron!
My son Aaron turned 46...cough, cough, cough...and he is a martini lover, so found images to create this perfect Martini Birthday card! I love to create my own personalized sentiments using a very extensive font file...I am hooked on fonts!!!
Happy Birthday dear boy!!!

Happy Birthday Carol
Happy Birthday Carol!
My Sister Carol's (not going to say how old) Birthday Card. Her birthday is in December and she is very vocal about not wanting her birthday card to have anything that remotely looks like Christmas.
So this is what I made for her!!! Happy Birthday little Sis!
Again, I have been very bad about taking pictures of the completed card. Just imagine this white card panel, popped up on a pretty lavender background panel...pretty...right???

Fran's Birthday
Happy Birthday Fran!
I have a dear friend, her name is Fran and she has the coolest personality ever. Big and bold and full of life!
We had a surprise birthday party for her and decided she definitely was a "Flamingo Girl" if ever there was one. So that's what we did.
I made this card for her keeping with the flamingo theme. This is the digital card front only, forgot to take a picture of the completed card!

Aaron & Alana's 20th Anniversary!
Oh my goodness, how time does fly.
The thought that our Son Aaron and Daughter-in-law Alana have been married 20 years doesn't seem possible...but it is.
These two wonderful people have given us two amazing grandchildren that provide smiles and laughter every single day.
So with that said, Dad and I wish you both a Very Happy 20th Anniversary with many more to come.

Our 50th Wedding Anniversary
September 2nd 1967 Dave and I walked down the isle and I can't believe that in just a few days we will have been married 50 YEARS!
It has been an amazing time being married to this wonderful man. He is patient beyond belief, caring and full of love.
During our 50 years together, we had two children, our daughter Amy and our son Aaron, who seem to have inherited the best of both of us and they in turn have given us 5 beautiful grandchildren. Maggie (just off to college), Luke, Ella, Aidan and Ava.
Dave and I are taking a driving trip to Monterey and Carmel California, which is where we honeymooned 50 years ago. Bet we notice a few changes since then.
This is the card I made for Dave, I hope he likes it (except for the fancy font I used to create the verse for the card front, he does not like "fancy fonts"), he is an engineer he says and we don't use Fancy Fonts...to hard to read. Think I will print out the verse in Calibri and hand it to him at dinner along with the card!!!

Alana's Birthday
Tomorrow is my beautiful daughter-in-laws birthday. We are so lucky to have her in our lives. My son chose well!
I think I am craving blue ocean waters because this card and the last one I made definitely have all the colors of the sea.
Alana's card is mostly digitally put together with several watercolor lily pad images, but I did use the clear Wink of Stella and the Sakura Stardust Meteor Gelly Roll pens (the blue one) to highlight the birthday sentiment I made in one of my favorite "dramatic" fonts, "Before the Rain". The pretty glittery effect on the card isn't showing up in the picture though.
I backed the front panel with a coordinating paper and with pop dots adhered that panel to the card front.
Happy Birthday Alana Marie!!

My Mother's 91st Birthday!
Well I
haven’t posted as you can see in a very long time, but today I have a special
reason.
It’s the
occasion of my Mother’s 91st Birthday.
I am her
first born, so it’s not just that I am more than a little biased, and I am, but
she has been and is a wonderful role model, full of love and support, not just
for me but every member of the family.
She makes us all feel special and very much loved.
And to this day, she still “makes” each of us
a homemade greeting card for every occasion throughout the year. She always has the last word when we are saying goodbye, and it's always like this: "I love you mama", to which she replies, "I love you more". Every time.
So this card is for her.
Happy 91st
Birthday Mama, we love you more than you’ll ever know.
This is her
card…

"Eat, Drink & Be Scary!"
What’s
Halloween without a cool vampire I ask, love his sophistication, you
know…sipping “blood” out of a crystal wine glass! This is a free image from Dobrosav BOB Zivkovic. Got him all shadded
and sparkled. This was a colored image
but the color wasn’t very vibrant when I printed it out, so added some depth
with my Copic markers. The fun sentiment
is a freebie digi and I thought it worked perfectly with our thirsty guest
here, and yes…the spider makes another return.
Freaky!
The Skeleton Poem
This really
cute guy is a stamp from Stampendous called Skeleton Poem, love this dapper
guy. Stamped him using black ink and
then Sakura Clear Star glitter pen to trace his image. Love how those “bones” stand out. His hat has a “Glossy Accents” shine on
it. He is layered up on Halloween DP and
a Spellbinders fence die cut was added for interest using black glitter
paper. You might notice that black glittered
spider is still following me, this time he sits atop a bow of sparkly fibers.
"When Witches Go Riding & Black Cats Are Seen"...
This card is made of several digi images and a fun
Halloween greeting that I made on the computer.
Love those Halloween fonts. The
colorful cats image is backed by that great greenish yellow moon with all the
bats flying and is also a free digi.
Added the black glitter paper Boo die piece from Serendipity and layered
that all onto Halloween DP from my stash and lots of Sakura Clear Star. Very easy card.
BOO!
This cute
Pumpkin Pile image is by Laurie Furnell.
Added some Stickles and shading and then fussy cut and attached it to a
Spellbinders lattice die cut and sprayed with a glitter spray. Added the Spellbinders fence die using a
glittery black cardstock and the Boo die from Serendipity. That pesky black spider makes another return
to my card…think he is following me!
RIP
This fun image by Laurie Furnell was too cute to pass up. I added the “RIP” by hand plus a little
shading and of course my Clear Star glitter pen. I found this cute BOO die cut from
Serendipity along with lots of fun stamps during their amazing sale a few weeks
ago. Can’t pass on free shipping and a
sale! Anyway, I cut the BOO from black
glitter paper and also punched the spider from a Punch Bunch punch from the
same black paper.
A Happy Halloween "Hoot"
I couldn’t pass this image up. That owl perched on a limb in front of a big
orange harvest moon with bats flying all around caught my eye. Added a little shading, a big scary spider
creeping toward the owl and a little sparkle via my Sakura Clear Star glitter
pen and it was done. Backing papers are
all from my stash.
Frankie says "Trick or Treat"
I
found this cute Halloween digi out in cyber land by Gloria West and knew one of
my Grandson’s would get a tickle out of it. It was pre-colored so didn’t take
much, a creepy spider all glittered up and my Sakura Clear Star pen to
highlight. The backing papers are from
my Halloween stash.

Sending Love and Sympathy
My dear sister-in-law lost her battle with cancer, but
through it all she kept her spirit, strength, sparkle and her wonderful smile.
I wanted to use a floral image, because she loved flowers
and I didn’t want it to be without bling because she loved sparkle.
So for this very special card I used a digi image and
colored it up and added glitter to a few of the flower petals and to the leaves. I created the sentiment on the computer. There is a beautiful silver glitter paper
that backs the focal layer and sparkles like crazy, just like she did.
I think she would have liked this card.
