I made this cute little Llama into a Thank You Card for Rosy. She used to live here in the High Desert of Central Oregon, where we have lots of sweet llama's around. None with flowers and cactus on their backs per say, but we do have flowers and we do have cactus. Put that all together and you have that pretty little llama all dressed up and ready to give Rosy a big smile.
I made the sentiment using the Kimberly font, love it's frilly look and the only adornment is the sequin in the center of the bow for just a little sparkle. Hope you enjoy it Rosy.
Thank you Rosy for thinking of me, I think of you often!

Happy Mail Surprise
How fun it was to pick up the mail today and find this! I love Happy Mail and this one is especially dear because it comes to me all the way from Hawaii!!
It's from a fellow "paper crafter/card maker" Rosy. She used to live here in the High Desert of Central Oregon and had heard we were having lots of snow. Isn't that the cutest Penguin you have ever seen, all dressed for a cold winters day holding a steamy cup of hot chocolate, that sounds pretty good right about now!
Thank you Rosy for your sweet card and hand written note. Mahalo!

Thinking of you and smiling
I needed to
add a thank you card to my card stash and the Flourishes stamp set Birds and
Vines, illustrated by Marcella Hawley came to mind, it’s such a pretty
set. I stamped part of the largest vine
on paper from my stash using Memento Potters Clay and then with a Copic marker of the same
color, colored in just a few of the leaves.
The “white” flower tops were made using a white Sukura pen. I used this pretty sentiment from GinaK,
called Elegant Florals and illustrated by Theresa Momber, I really love the sentiments in this set. Added a Martha punched border and some pearls
to finish. Think I’d like to try this
again but use a more pastel color palette.
Wishing you all a fun Friday and a wonderful weekend ahead.
Cheers, my friends!!!

Christmas Thank You
This is for
Cat’s challenge at StampTV, there’s two sides to everything, STV13MODDYCHRISTMAS2
The die that I chose to use for my positive and negative cards is
Spellbinders Petite Ovals die, Large.
The positive die cut was embossed with a silver detail embossing powder
and for the sentiment I used Gina K Stamp set Various Verses, always one that I
go to first. After the heat embossing
cooled I attached all the layers and added the Poinsettia and some branches
using a Martha punch. And now I have one
more Merry, Merry thank you card done.
This was a fun challenge as I tend not to use my negative die panels and
now I am thinking…what a waste. Thank
you Cat for the inspiration.
Christmas Thank You
For Laurie’s
challenge STV13MODDYCHRISTMAS4 Christmas Thank You, over at StampTV.
Well this
was a fun Sketch CHALLENGE and for me it really was challenging! Trying to get those 3 little panels the right
size was not easy, but since this was my favorite of her sketches, I
persevered. And I am glad I did because
I think the card turned out perfectly…well I know nothing is ever perfect…but I
do like it. All the papers are scraps
from Christmas DP’s I had used for Christmas cards, I love using my
scraps. Got all the layers attached to
the card and then stamped the Thank You from Gina K Stamps Various Verses, I
thought the font had the perfect balance for the card. I attached the sentiment to Spellbinders
Fancy Tags 2 and added the pretty little Poinsettia. To make the card sparkle a little I added
Diamond Stickles around the sentiment and traced all the little diamonds on the
background panels with my Sakura Clear Star pen. Not sure it shows well in the photo though.

A Cup of Thanks
Flourishes December Release Challenge, FLLCDEC13B
/ Flip it Sketch Challenge
I
made this thank you card using the brand spanking new, gorgeous set of
Flourishes “Grab a Cup” stamp set. I was
sold as soon as I laid eyes on that latte’ cup and the fun sentiments. I colored with my Copics and layered per the
challenge design on Graphic45 papers, love that paper. I angled the sentiment and stamped using
Memento Espresso Truffle.

Thank You for a Fabulous Time
Let's just say that on a recent vacation a few martinis
were shared. I remembered my Martini Chicks digi image from From the Heart,
colored them in with Copics and added a thank you sentiment and it worked
perfectly. Thank goodness none of us landed on the floor, but a very good time
was had by all!
