Preparing for a big move!

A big hello to all my blog friends and followers.  Thought I should let you know why I haven't been posting cards for awhile...Dave and are at a time in our lives where we do not need a big old house anymore, so decided after living here for 25 years it was time to put it on the market and move closer to family.

Really looking forward to a house with no stairs, everything on one level.  So with that said I have lots of cleaning out to do to ready this place.  Storage and closet space is all full of happy memories, but not sure I need to keep them all, so the purging has begun.

As soon as I have things a little more organized, you'll hear from me again, in the meantime didn't want you to think I had fallen off the face of the earth.

Thank you all for visiting me here and I want you to know that I really am "Happy as a clam in white wine butter sauce!"  Cheers!

  1. How exciting, a NEW adventure! Don't you worry, wherever you land you will take ALL of those wonderful memories with you! We left our first house after 20 years, I was a bit sad at first, but then as we did our last walk through a little puppy came running through followed by two of the sweetest little girls, right then I knew MY house was ready to make new memories with another happy little family! Good Luck, I hope everything goes smoothly for you all! xo~

  2. Congratulations on your new adventure. When we sold our "big" house my d-I-l asked how I could leave all those memories, I told her the memories are in my heart not in those 4 walls. We had been in that house for 22 years. Now we're downsizing AGAIN by selling our MN townhouse....it will be so nice to be in Vegas ALL the time. Good luck to you

  3. Best of luck on your move! I sold my house after 21 years, and it was tough, but I did it. That brought me to Wilmington (NC), where I've adjusted to a calmer lifestyle and become very happy. Moving can be quite a challenge, but you are doing it for all the right reasons. Please check in every now & then and let us know how its going!

  4. I wondered were you were! so now you are moving on and cleaning the Big Old House. Best of luck to you. This can be a challenge, but change is always going to be there, so embrace it. As a single ( divorced) person with 2 kids, I build a house. I was so proud of that and never, never wanted to leave it. But when I met Tom and we decided to get married, we built another house together. I did leave that house, and now I have a home and that is were my heart is. Right! Look forward to seeing post from you in the future. Pack up your crafts last. Lol

  7. My goodness, I just saw this.....wondered where you had been. We've been in our house for 37 years. My, I would hate to have to move, but we are already on one level. I sure couldn't handle many stairs. We will all be right here when you get settled again. Good luck on your new adventure!
