Happy Halloween

OK…I fibbed, I made one more Halloween card for this year, but this is definitely my last one…
This is all about copper Stickles and embossing folders and a scary spider punch.  I embossed Core’dinations sand it, tear it, emboss it paper with Cuttlebug’s Pumpkin Harvest embossing folder and lightly sanded it.  Then layered a die cut from Cuttlebug called Halloween Sign onto the pumpkin layer.  Punched the spider from a Punch Bunch punch and then went about Stickling all those elements with Stickles Copper glitter glue.  Enjoy!

I am a winner at Bugaboo!

I have some really fun news...I won the October Bingo Challenge over at Bugaboo!  And not just a win but the grand prize of 10 digi images of my choice.  Well I am such a fan that it will take me some time to whittle down 10 images from my wish list, but that's a good problem to have isn't it.  Will definitely need a glass of wine in hand for that!  This is the card that did it...

If you haven't been to their shop yet here is a link to the Bugaboo store.

With Deepest Sympathy

Well this card was definitely not so much fun to make, but on a bright spot I was so happy to have Theresa Momber’s Elegant Florals stamp set.  It really worked well for what I wanted to do.  The sentiment and the leaf image are from her set.  I had the text paper in my stash so it was easy to stamp the image in green.  The background DP is from Classic K Designer Mat Pad.  K&Company is a favorite paper source.  I added the little copper dragonfly and it felt just right.

Skeleton Poem

I just got this Stampendous Skeleton Poem stamp and almost forgot I had it.  I decided to ink him up with VersaMark and Stamp-n-Stuff Midnight Black embossing powder.  Added some black stringy ribbon from my stash at the bottom of the card and then popped it up on some Halloween paper from DCWV the Spooky Time Mat Stack which has become my favorite this year and it was done.  I love this dapper little guy, pretty festive for a scary skeleton don’t ya think.

The Witch is IN

I’ve had this witches boot for so long that after 2 or three years I am finally using it.  Better late than never I guess.  I colored it up with Copics, added lots of Stickles glitter glue in green, purple and orange, plus a Martha bat punch bat, layered it up on some Halloween papers from my stash and that was it.

Witchy???

This is a digi stamp from the folks over at Bugaboo called “JJ call me witch”, now who could resist that, not me.  I colored JJ with Copics and added a little Sakura Clear Star glitter pen plus a silver sparkly brad and some Halloween ribbon from the Halloween drawer and layered it onto The Spooky Time Mat Stack by DCWV and that was it.  For the Catch the Bug challenge using...
Ribbon, Orange & Players choice.

Happy Halloween!

I made this fun card using Melanie Muenchinger’s Basket Additions 3 stamp set. I am lucky enough to have a signed set. I colored this sweet image with Copic markers, added Stickles glitter gel in yellow, purple and orange, added a Halloween brad that I’ve had in the old stash for a long, long time, added a ribbon, popped that on DCWV’s Spooky Time cardstock. Added the scary black cat for a little extra embellishment.

Thank You for a Fabulous Time

Let's just say that on a recent vacation a few martinis were shared. I remembered my Martini Chicks digi image from From the Heart, colored them in with Copics and added a thank you sentiment and it worked perfectly. Thank goodness none of us landed on the floor, but a very good time was had by all!

Spooked Ghost

RIP

This is a cute little digi image from SKdigi’s called SpookedGhost.  I colored him up with my Copic markers, popped him up on some Halloween papers from my scrap bin, added some bats from a Martha Stewart punch that I glittered up with Stickles, purple, orange and black.  Added a black and orange ribbon band and more bats and that cute layered pumpkin and the little frog by the ghost.  And there you have it.  One more for the Halloween bin!  It will soon be time to start mailing them out.

Birthday Wishes

I have a dear friend with a mid October birthday, and this is what I made for her.  I used this wonderful Spellbinders die A2 Polka Dots set and some black cardstock which I popped onto Kraft colored cardstock.  I added an orange ribbon band and popped this gorgeous flower colored with Copics from Melanie Muenchinger's A Year of Flowers 2, added Stickles glitter glue, stamped the sentiment from  Gina K Designs Various Verses and popped it atop of a piece of black cardstock.  Since I do not have a Silhouette Cameo I fussy cut the flower.

This card combines several digi images and they were all pre-colored.  The pumpkins are from Doodle Pantry, the sentiment is a freebie from Digi Stamp Boutique, the little bat was a freebie too, but don’t remember where I got him.  Anyway I layered all the images onto digi background paper in Photoshop Elements and printed it out.  Gave these guys a light application of Stickles Glitter Glue, added the fun ribbon from my Halloween stash, a few green rhinestones for extra sparkle and it was done.

Trick or Treat

This chalkboard image is a digi stamp that really needed nothing beyond adding Stickles Diamond glitter glue to the spider and webs.  I popped that image on a piece of Bazzill Basics white cardstock and popped that onto Bazzill black cardstock that I embossed with Cuttlebug’s Forest Branches.  I added a scary spider from Punch Bunch paper punch, added an oval rhinestone to its back and popped it onto a shiny black ribbon.

Note Cards

I made generic note cards to add to a basket for a charitable auction.  I love the ‘grape’ for fall, well really anytime, it’s what they make the wine from that goes into my “white wine butter sauce”, you know…Happy as a clam and all, and my 5 o’clock refreshment, so that’s what I used.  Both of these images from Dover are digi’s and pre-colored, how easy was that.  For the water colored grape card I used a copper metallic paper to add warmth to this card.  Also used a Sakura stardust pen to add definition to the grape cluster and just one Swarovski crystal in the top right corner of the card.
The other card’s image was layered on Kraft and an olive green card stock and a light touch of Sakura Stardust.  As you can see, both cards have a clean and simple feel to them.

This was such a fun Halloween card to make.  For this one I used the stamp set from Gina K. Designs called Wicked for the sentiment and those scary bats flying around.  I took a cue from the masking and shading Queen Theresa Momber and shaded Gina’s Pure Luxury white heavy weight cardstock with StampinUp’s Eggplant Envy after masking for the moon using Tsukineko’s Versa Magic Thatched Straw.  Popped that over some Halloween cardstock from DCWV Spooky Time Mat stack.  Added a pretty sparkly ribbon and a die punched witch and cauldron from Martha and the fence from Spellbinders.  A few green rhinestones on top and lots of Stickles glitter.

This is a CASE from the talented Suzanne Dean, who made tags with these images.  I chose to do a card and a square card at that!  I used two stamp sets for this card.  The spider image and BOO! Came from Gina K. Designs Wicked and the background paper that it’s popped up on I created with the cute little spider from Melanie Muenchinger's Basket Additions 3.  I Stickled everything with Diamond sparkles and then shaded all the layers with Memento Tuxedo Black.  I added a little extra Halloween color by adding a pretty orange ribbon to a cardstock Halloween paper I had.  A fun really popped up card!  Thank you Suzanne for the inspiration and to Gina and Melanie for the fun stamps.

It’s fun to let our pretty designer papers do most of the work for us every now and again and that’s what I’ve done here.  It’s from K&Company’s Tim Coffey and is called Cottage Garden.  That beautiful flower medallion is from Melanie’s A Year of Flowers 2, that I colored with Copics and added Stickles Diamond for some sparkle.  I popped it onto Gina’s Pure Luxury Heavy Weight white cardstock and added a sentiment from Various Verses and then edged the white cardstock with Memento’s Potter’s Clay.

This is Stella and she is from one of my favorite humorous digi stores called Bugaboo.  Stella always has something funny to say and thought she would be perfect for a friend’s birthday.  She is embellished pretty heavily (I may have over done this one) and added another birthday sentiment, lots of lavender rhinestones and put it in the mail.

Happy Birthday Matt!

Well after being absent for awhile here, I am back with some fun cards.

We just celebrated our Son-in-law Matt’s birthday.  I made this card for him using Tim Holtz coredinations cardstock collection called Spiced Marmalade, my Cuttlebug embossing folder Happy Birthday, a sanding block and just a little time.  I embossed the cardstock, sanded it lightly, adhered it to cardstock from my stash, added a digi Happy Birthday sentiment that I made in Photoshop Elements 9, added a brad to that and a coordinating ribbon and it was done.  It has a fun fall feel.
